Anchorage Digital Selects LayerZero as Interoperability Partner for Stablecoin Issuance

As stablecoins continue to gain traction as faster, more efficient financial infrastructure, one challenge remains: ensuring they can move seamlessly across the growing number of blockchain networks where banks and institutions operate.

Today, we’re announcing that Anchorage Digital, home to America's first federally regulated crypto bank, has selected LayerZero as its interoperability partner for stablecoin issuance, enabling cross-chain functionality for stablecoins issued through Anchorage Digital Bank, N.A.

Building cross-chain infrastructure for institutional stablecoins

Anchorage Digital’s stablecoin issuance platform supports institutions seeking to launch compliant, scalable stablecoins, including Tether (USAT), Western Union (USDPT), OSL Group (USDGO), and Falcon Finance (fUSD).

As adoption grows, the ability to move stablecoins across chains is no longer optional, it is essential. Banks, payment providers, institutional platforms, and on-chain financial applications increasingly operate across multiple ecosystems, requiring assets that can move seamlessly between them.

Through this partnership, LayerZero will serve as the preferred interoperability layer for Anchorage Digital’s issued stablecoins, helping ensure they can reach users wherever they transact. LayerZero is the industry’s most widely adopted interoperability standard for stablecoins, enabling assets, messages, and applications to move globally across 170+ blockchains. Stablecoins issued through this partnership will leverage the OFT standard, LayerZero's universal token standard used to send, receive, and compose assets across all blockchains.

Tether’s USAT is the first stablecoin issued by Anchorage Digital Bank to launch with LayerZero interoperability using the OFT standard, expanding its availability across chains and enabling broader distribution across institutional and global payment use cases.

Supporting institutional adoption at scale

Stablecoins are increasingly being used across a wide range of applications, including cross-border payments, institutional trading, on-chain lending, and treasury management.

To support this growth, institutions require infrastructure that combines:

  • Regulatory clarity and compliance
  • Secure custody and issuance
  • Seamless cross-chain interoperability

By integrating LayerZero, Anchorage Digital is helping provide a unified foundation for stablecoin issuance and distribution, enabling institutions to launch assets that are immediately usable across ecosystems.

Building toward a multi-chain financial system

In the near future, stablecoins issued through Anchorage Digital Bank will be designed to move seamlessly across leading blockchain ecosystems, including Ethereum, EVM-compatible networks, and Solana, unlocking broader access and utility for institutional users.

Together, Anchorage Digital and LayerZero are helping build the foundation for a more connected, interoperable financial system, where digital assets can move across chains, and institutions can engage with confidence.
